Near & Far Aid Readies “Celebrating The Art Of Living” 2011 Designer House Tour
Fairfield, Conn., April 11th, 2011
With the snow melting away the last signs of winter, many residents in Fairfield County are dreaming of spring and the warmer days to come. Scores of volunteers have been busy helping prepare for philanthropic organization Near & Far Aid’s celebrated Designer House Tour. The event, which will take place on Friday, April 29th, will feature an inside-look at five extraordinary homes in the prominent enclaves of Westport, Greenfield Hill, and Southport, Connecticut, each professionally decorated by prominent interior designers.
The 2011 Designer House Tour continues Near & Far Aid’s tradition of community giving, which annually attracts about a thousand visitors. Each of the outstanding homes selected for the House Tour is based on premier décor, architecture and geography. Some of the homes are large scale, others are more traditional. But all exhibit extraordinary splendor and uniqueness.
“All of the volunteers working with Near & Far Aid are extremely excited about this year’s event,” said Westport resident Nance Vigneau, co-chair of the House Tour. “It is endlessly inspiring to collaborate with such talented interior designers and to showcase new and innovative homes each year.”
“As co-chair, I am looking forward to showcasing some of the area's most exceptional,” said Dabney Bowen of Fairfield. "We continue to be motivated by what this wonderful event accomplishes for those living in poverty in Fairfield County,” Bowen added.
The 2011 Near & Far Aid Designer House Tour: "Celebrating the Art of Living,” offers patrons an extraordinary opportunity to have a private view inside many of the most prestigious properties in Fairfield County, where each moment of life, the important occasions, and the simple, every day events are surrounded by imagination, beauty, style and vision.
